This lesson prepares you to have a clear understanding and fundamental relationship to the guitar. So that when we begin learning to play the music of Guitar I, you will be prepared. It is a detailed introduction to the physical parts of guitar, the best sitting position and how to hold the guitar, labeling of the fingers, learning the strings and how to apply the fingers in an orderly pattern to be prepared for playing music.
Your Instructor
Stephen Miller is co-creator of Guitar Academy along with his wife Joellen who have taught thousands of students for over 30 years at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University and there own Miller Guitar Academy. Stephen has performed as a soloist and ensemble and orchestra works and holds degrees from Indiana University and The University of Redlands. He has studied with William Kanengiser of The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Terry Graves of The Falla Trio and Dick Wisner founder of the Indiana University guitar program.
